Nebraska Steakhouse Review

I'm just gonna go out and say it. I didn't like Nebraska Steakhouse. It was OKAY, and that's about it. We ordered the steak medium, and it came back burnt on the outside, so much so that it ruined every bite for me. The sides were unique enough for me to mention them, we had the spicey mashed potatoes and creamed spinach. Both solid. The waiters were all very nice and friendly, but it's too little too late.

CC Wins Tom K Steak Again!

Thanks to CC's brilliant (almost) perfect game, Grant will be buying some AWESOME steak for Tom K once again for the first pitcher to get to 15 wins bet! After Lester stalled at 10 and licked his wounds, CC stepped up some porterhouse for Tom again! Best record for the whole season is our last bet (One that I've won the past two years straight) Lugers will welcome me home but first I owe Grant some tender vittles for the best record at All Star break bet that the Sux and he won fair and square.

Oh I wish Yanks won them all, cause free steak is better than not free steak, which is still better than no steak! Thanks Granty Panty Mo Mar Nostra McBall Chin!

Ben and Jack's Steakhouse Review

Thanks to All-Star Adrian Gonzalez's RBIs, Tom K graciously paid for a steak dinner. The venue was Ben and Jack's on East 44th Street.

This is another example of a former Peter Luger's employee going out on their own. These Luger's clones all seem to do the same thing...offer the staples we've come to love and then add a few things to set them apart from the others.

We started with the thick slices of bacon as an appetizer. Can't really go wrong there.

For the main course we had the Porterhouse for two, creamed spinach, and german potatoes. The meal was very good and on par with Lugers, I would say. The steak came out sizzling and hot, creamed spinach had just the right amount of cream (not much at all), and the potatoes were solid. The thing that set Ben and Jack's apart was their house steak sauce. It was very different than what we've had before but it complimented the steak and sides very well.

At the end of the day, it is what it is: A Peter Luger's clone. But there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. Great meal at a reasonable price...and a much easier to get to location.

GO SOX!

STEAK!

Tom K is to buy me free steak this weekend because the Yankees suck. Here is proof. The "future of the Yankees" fielding a ball.

Help me Obi "Gonz" Kenobi, you're my only hope!

The first bet of the 2011 year, first player to 25 RBI's, goes to the Sox! Free steak for Grant! The Yankees had like 4 players with over 20 RBI's and Cano was tied with Gonzo at 24 RBI's. No one else on the Sox was even close. Things were looking bleak, but the Yanks did have the night off. So I called on old "Gonz" Kenobi to help defeat the death star that is the Yankees.

Help me Obi "Gonz" Kenobi, you're my only hope! He came through in a nail biter of a game to provide me with free steak courtesy of the Yanks and Tom K!

Boston's worst start in ages!

I have to admit, the thought that Boston would suck this much right away didn't really occur to me as a serious possibility. However, them sucking down the line due to injuries, not pacing themselves and Papelbon choking were all real likely in my mind.

Texiera has 14 Rbis to Papi's 8 and Arod, Cano, Swisher and loads of others have as many or more than Papi and Gonzoles, so the first bet of the year of 25 RBIS looks like it goes to Tommy K! Free steak from Grant is better than working for a living. I'll be getting the best record at all star break, 15 pitching wins and best season record bets as well. A perfect 4 for 4!!!! PS The last two years I won the majority of the bets too. Boston Sux! Yankees rule! I'll have a cold beer with that medium rare, dry aged porterhouse please! Awesomeness, winning is great!

Oh and make your own gay Boston cum joke from the picture! Happy Spring!

Wet or Dry?

I have to say, I do like Swisher...he seems like a cool dude. Except when he goes cleats up into second base and breaks people's legs.
